The Villages @ Sunlake

In what should be a highly interesting preseason matchup, The Villages Charter School will come into the 2023 season with a different player under center at quarterback. Patrick Harding will take the reins as Starting QB from Danny Bitting. At least that’s the plan as we have been told. But The Villages likes to throw in curve balls so we will see what happens in this preseason contest. Will The Villages go with experience or with a player that is up and coming and has a bright future in front of him at the quarterback position?

What we do know is that Alvonn Isaac will be the go to running back this year. The senior has committed to USF to play college football. We cannot wait to see Isaac take the field this year. He is bigger, stronger and faster than ever! We are mostly concerned about the offense for The Villages in 2023. The defense was decent last year and many players are returning on defense this season. What The Buffalo need are offensive points. Can this group score this year and can they compete with schools like South Sumter, Mount Dora, Eustis and Umatilla? We will see. Hopefully this game against Sunlake is an indicator that the season will be headed in the right direction.
