Leesburg Fire Lt. Jeff Moore Honored with the Fox 35 Care Force Award
The City of Leesburg is proud to announce that Lieutenant Jeff Moore of the Leesburg Fire Department has been honored with the Fox 35 Care Force Award. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their community service and dedication.
Lieutenant Moore was nominated by Leesburg resident and business owner Matt Tutton for his unwavering commitment to the residents and visitors of Leesburg, both in his professional capacity and personal life. With over 20 years of service as a firefighter in Leesburg, Jeff has made a lasting impact on the community.
Recently, Lieutenant Moore was joined in the Leesburg Fire Department by his son Jacob, one of the city’s newest firefighters. Jeff attributes his deep connection to the community to his family’s longstanding ties to Leesburg. “I’m old school Leesburg. My dad’s dad was the mayor here in the ’60s, and so this is where I live and where I love,” Jeff said.
His colleagues echo the reasons for his nomination, highlighting the numerous events he volunteers for throughout the year. “Lieutenant Jeff Moore’s dedication and service are an inspiration to all, and this award is a testament to his well-deserved recognition,” said City Manager Al Minner.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Jeff Moore, on this outstanding achievement!
