Photos: Nicole Hamel – The Education Foundation of Lake County’s 15th annual Stepping Out for Education benefit, a local version of “Dancing with the Stars,” was a huge success on July 23-24 at Clermont Performing Arts Center. Lake County Schools Assistant Superintendent Dr. Emily Feltner won the prestigious mirror ball. She was the top female dancer both nights and Clermont Mayor Tim Murry was the top male dancer. Also dancing at the event were Renew Day Spa owner Dina Simpson, Maggie’s Attic Manager/Sommelier Jerome Brouhard, and Deputy Tax Collector Tyler J. Borowski. The fundraiser generated $26,000 for Lake County Schools, which will be matched 100% by the state.
