Job responsibilities? I oversee marketing ThatCompany.com as a white label marketing provider for digital marketing agency owners to partner with. I also oversee our digital marketing sales support team that helps our partners close new prospects for SEO, PPC, and Social Media Marketing services that we provide on their behalf.

How did you get into your career? What year did you start? May 2007 I was 15 years old, and my dad & mom were starting That! Company then known as (Buildtelligence Web Solutions) since it was summer, I asked my dad “Hey how can I help” he handed me a phone book and said call everyone in the Yellow Pages that doesn’t have a website listed and get them to take an appointment with us so we can build them one. We initially were in the web dev business (we no longer focus on building websites but now focus on marketing businesses that already have one).

What makes you passionate about your career? I like taking the complex and making it simple. I love that this industry is always changing, and you can’t just do what worked yesterday, hoping it works today. This means we actually get to come up with creative solutions and regularly test new approaches to help our customers get more clients. Constant innovation makes my work fun.

What is your biggest professional accomplishment? – I helped pivot our business into the white label model, working with agency owners back in 2015. At that time, we had only worked with 3 white label partners. I guided our team to take rankings on Google for keywords related to “white label marketing,” and today, we now have 600+ agency partners who white label our services. We also are now a global team, we originally were only hiring people here in Lake County, but now we hire people all over the US as well as Internationally.

What advice would you give the younger generation to achieve career success? Keep at it! Success is not easy or fast; if it is, then you won’t know how to replicate it. Failure is good, but you have to take time to document and learn from it. In addition, don’t operate in a silo, be a part of a community of other driven people and you’ll go further together by sharing with each other.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? Spending time with my family. Coaching our kid’s soccer, football, and (soon basketball) teams.

What’s after 40? Where do you see yourself in the future? We’ll see! Whatever God has planned! I see myself continuing to deepen my relationship with him and bring Christ the glory!
