“Pull for Change” Clay Shoot Fundraiser to Empower Local Families
Calling all clay target enthusiasts and community champions! The United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties (UWLS) invites you to its “Pull for Change” Clay Shoot 100-Bird Fundraiser on Friday, October 18, 2024. This exciting event offers a chance to test your skills, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch, and most importantly, make a real difference in the lives of your neighbors.
Hit Your Target, Support Your Community:
The fundraiser takes place at Blackjack Sporting Clays in Sumterville (3372 County Road 526). Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a full day of shooting fun. Each participant receives 100 clays and 100 rounds of ammunition. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a curious newcomer, this event welcomes all skill levels.
Individual shooters can register for $200, and teams of four can participate for $750. All proceeds directly benefit UWLS’s critical programs, which empower individuals and families to achieve financial stability and build a secure future.
More than just a game:
“This event is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community and raise awareness for the vital services UWLS provides,” says Jessica Davis, president and CEO at UWLS. “The funds raised will directly support programs such as our Together for Health & Wellness initiative and Family Stability Services, programs that address the root causes of poverty in our region.”
Together for Health & Wellness promotes health education and connects residents with vital resources. Family Stability Services empowers families through financial assistance, coaching, job training, and financial literacy programs.
Sharpen your aim and make a lasting change:
UWLS believes that every individual deserves a chance to thrive. By participating in the Clay Shoot Fundraiser, you’re not just testing your clay-shooting skills, you’re helping break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for our community.
