Montverde Academy Softball Senior Danika Spinogatti Commits To FSU
MONTVERDE, Fla. — Montverde Academy’s senior catcher Danika Spinogatti, widely regarded as one of the top high school softball players in the nation, has officially committed to play for Florida State University. A four-time All-State Class 3A selection, Spinogatti has been a force behind the plate and at bat throughout her career, setting numerous records and helping lead Montverde to its first-ever state championship as a junior this past May.
Spinogatti, who has played varsity softball since the 8th grade, boasts a career batting average of .395 with 104 hits, 79 RBIs, 28 doubles, and 8 home runs. Her offensive production is matched by her defensive prowess, having committed just 13 errors in her entire career with an exceptional fielding percentage of .978. She has also crossed the plate 57 times and is just an amazing athlete.
Her ability to command the game from behind the plate and produce clutch hits has been instrumental for the Montverde Academy success.
Spinogatti’s performance has drawn attention from top college programs, and her commitment is part of a wave of local softball talent securing their futures. Junior Luna Taboas just announced her commitment to the University of Georgia. The level of talent that Montverde Academy has is incredible. It grows each year and there is a good chance that the and Eustis could potentially win back to back state championships in 2025.
So we want to congratulate Danika for her commitment to FSU. Danika is hoping to go out as a two-time state champion in 2025.
