Alan Reisman Elected as New Mayor of Leesburg

Alan Reisman was selected as the new Mayor of Leesburg, following a close 3-2 vote by the city commission. Alan, a lifelong Leesburg resident and current city commissioner, steps into the role with a vision for growth and collaboration. Jay Connell was also nominated.
“I am grateful for the trust my fellow commissioners have shown in nominating me as Mayor of Leesburg,” Alan says. “I also want to thank former Mayor Burry for his outstanding leadership and setting such a strong example. I’m excited to work alongside my colleagues, city staff, and residents to make this a successful year for our community.”
Alan balances two significant roles in his professional life. As a project manager for Firehawk Helicopters, he oversees company projects and assists the team in daily operations, combining his passion for aviation with hands-on leadership. Simultaneously, as a Leesburg City Commissioner, Reisman works with the commission and city staff to adopt local laws and ordinances, establish policies, and manage the city’s growth, ensuring a prosperous future for his hometown.
“I grew up in Leesburg and have always loved it here,” he says. “I want to do whatever I can to help around my hometown.”

please help seniors with MHP ‘s stop raising rent for no reason . Lake Griffin MHP keeps raising rent every year and nothing has been done We pay for everything including fix or replace driveway witch is 3200 $ on top of our rent and utilities and if we complain he will throw you out. When we get a raise on our social security check he raises rent that much and leaves us with nothing to show. These MHP’s need to be regulated and inspected regularly to decide if the parks are in proper order for the raise and the renter are not being taken advantage of. Please help the people stop the rich from getting richer from the poor senior and disabled people. Why should we pay to bring up his property value with our money and take even more rent. When you buy a place they don’t tell you, you have to pay for a driveway that was replaced from previous owner.
