Addition Financial Credit Union has announced that the application portal for the 2025 Joseph A. Melbourne Jr. Annual Scholarship Program is now open. This esteemed scholarship program awards six high school seniors with college scholarships valued at $10,000 each, along with two master’s level scholarships worth $2,500 each.

Named in honor of Addition Financial’s former President and CEO, Joseph A. Melbourne Jr., the scholarship program aims to support students in their pursuit of higher education. Last year, a Lake County student was among the six high school recipients, demonstrating the program’s local impact and the opportunities it provides for students within the community.

Eligibility Criteria for High School Applicants:

  • Must be accepted to a four-year university, college, or trade school;
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • Must be a primary or joint member of Addition Financial Credit Union at the time of application;
  • Must submit responses to two short essay questions (100 words or less);
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation.

Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2025, and winners will be selected and notified by April 30, 2025.
