Holistic Care and Outside-the-Box Options Put the Individual First

Years of working in the emergency room inspired Colleen Wallace, APN, when she and her husband, Ken, opened Wallace Health in Umatilla.
“I like the chaos of the ER so I thought primary care would be boring, but I made sure it wouldn’t by offering a lot of services that traditional doctors don’t,” says Colleen, an Advanced Practice Nurse.
Patients come to Wallace Health for a wide variety of wellness services, screenings and treatment for illness and injuries. The practice offers so much more, including a large menu of aesthetic procedures–from medical weight loss and skin resurfacing to tattoo removal, treating acne and wrinkles, and more.
Hormone replacement therapy can be a gamechanger and Colleen is well respected for her skill in this area.
Femi-lift treatments treat bladder incontinence and promote vaginal rejuvenation. The Cryoskin Body Slimming Machine helps reduce fat cells and tighten skin. Wallace Health also offers Botox, PDO threads and the CO-2 laser.
Even more than the services offered, it’s the individualized attention that keeps patients coming back.

Wallace Health is well known for providing holistic care. This approach makes a noticeable difference in outcomes and how patients feel about health care.
Holistic care is a different model from traditional medical training and doesn’t go straight to pharmaceutical solutions. For example, if someone has high cholesterol, Colleen doesn’t automatically advise them to take statins. She’ll first explain how they can make lifestyle changes like adjusting their diet and which supplements can help.
She is very knowledgeable about diet and supplements and takes the time to help patients learn how they can take charge of their health. Her ultimate goal is to get people off medications whenever possible.
“I look at each patient as the whole person, not just their symptoms. I really listen and take time with them, which is why I have patients who come from out of county and even out of state,” says Colleen.
The goal of Colleen and her entire team is to provide holistic care with respect, compassion and dignity at a fair price. In addition to primary and walk-in care for minor and acute health issues, patients benefit from complimentary services to improve overall health, appearance and well-being.
Wallace Health is accepting new patients. If you’re ready to work with a health care provider who truly cares and will treat you as an individual, call the practice today.
