LEESBURG, Fla. — Leesburg High School senior Cassidy Custer is heading to the next level. The talented catcher has committed to Milwaukee Area Technical College, continuing her softball career at the collegiate level.
Custer, who previously played for The Villages Charter High School and competes with North Florida Elite on the travel circuit, has made a name for herself with her strong arm behind the plate. During her sophomore season at The Villages, she tallied 13 hits, 8 RBIs, and posted a .371 on-base percentage. Custer has made the transition to Leesburg High for her senior year and her teammates are very excited to play alongside her.

Leesburg High School softball coach Amber Prescott praised Custer’s work ethic and leadership.
“Cassidy is one of those players who leads by example and puts in the extra work when no one is watching,” Prescott said. “She’s got a rocket for an arm and a real feel for the game. MATC is getting a competitor who will make an immediate impact. We love having Cassidy on our team.”
Custer joined Jamahr Williams, Randall Sharp and Tocori Skinner who also committed.

After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
