Leesburg Arts Center Prepares for Colorful Summer Ahead with Camps, Classes and Creativity

The Leesburg Center for the Arts is gearing up for a vibrant summer season with hands-on programs designed to inspire, educate and connect the Lake County community through creativity.
Kicking off in June, the Center will host its annual Summer Art Camp, welcoming young artists ages 6 to 16 for weekly sessions packed with fun and skill-building activities. The camp runs weekly from June 2 through July 18, with a break the week of July 1 for the Fourth of July holiday.
Each week, campers are grouped by age and led through engaging visual art projects in a professional, supportive environment. Sessions are held Monday through Friday, with morning classes for younger students and afternoon classes for older age groups.
Tuition for non-members is $130 per week, while members receive a discounted rate of $100. Scholarships are available for children living in the Leesburg area and attending local schools.
Following the summer camp, regular youth and adult classes will resume in August, continuing the Center’s mission to provide year-round access to the arts for all ages and skill levels.
This summer’s programming comes as the organization looks ahead to an exciting new chapter. The Leesburg Center for the Arts, recently renamed the Leesburg Arts Center, is preparing to relocate to its new home inside The Tropic, a redeveloped space in downtown Leesburg, with a move-in target set for January 2026.
Founded in 2000 by a group of local artists and community members, the Center has become a cornerstone of the city’s cultural life. Its vision — to be a place where the arts transform lives — continues to guide its growth and outreach.
Unlike traditional programs that simply encourage creativity, the Leesburg Arts Center emphasizes structured learning and artistic progression. Students work with professional artists, follow sequenced curriculums, and are taught how to apply core artistic principles while exploring various mediums.
