Tired of the Growth? Lake County Launches Series on Growth Management

As conversations around growth and development intensify across Central Florida, Lake County is launching a four-part Growth Management Workshop Series aimed at addressing residents’ concerns and promoting transparency around one of the region’s most pressing issues.

The series, which begins June 2, will explore how Lake County can responsibly manage growth while protecting natural resources, infrastructure, and quality of life. Topics will include land use planning, farmland preservation, infrastructure challenges, and intergovernmental coordination.

“These workshops are aimed at helping us manage growth and infrastructure demands,” Lake County Chairman Leslie Campione says. “But success depends on involvement from all 14 cities and every resident, whether you live in a city or the County’s unincorporated areas. I encourage everyone to participate and help preserve what makes Lake County special.”

Lake County residents have increasingly expressed frustration with rapid development and its impact on traffic, public services, and rural character. The new series is a response to those concerns, creating a forum for open dialogue and practical solutions.
