Cardinal Cove Park just got a new upgrade! The Eustis Parks and Recreation Department announced the addition of four pickleball courts to the popular park on Tuesday, June 3.

Cardinal Cove is one of the twelve City parks that are managed and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. The park already had an extensive list of functional features including covered picnic benches, a lake boardwalk and a paved walking trail. The addition of pickleball courts expands the park’s amenities and invites both beginners and seasoned players to participate in this rising sport.

Parks and Recreation Director Sam Brinson shared that the pickleball courts were a direct response to the public. “There have been requests for pickleball courts in Eustis for months,” Brinson said. “The sport has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years.”

The new pickleball courts represent the dedication of the Parks and Recreation Department towards engaging with the community and providing exceptional public spaces.

The courts are open daily from sunup to sundown and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To preserve the quality and safety of the courts, visitors are asked to follow all posted rules and regulations. Proper athletic attire is required.
