A hometown star is making national headlines once again. Tre Mann, a proud graduate of The Villages High School, has officially agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets, according to reports from ESPN. The deal was finalized through negotiations between Hornets officials and Mann’s agent, Aaron Turner of Verus Sports, during the NBA’s free agency period.

Mann, a 6-foot-3 guard known for his smooth shooting and electric playmaking, was originally drafted 18th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2021 NBA Draft. After stints with both the Thunder and more recently the Charlotte Hornets, Mann entered this offseason as a free agent. Now, he’s secured a long-term future in Charlotte.

During his time at The Villages, Mann quickly rose to national prominence as one of Florida’s top high school players and became a McDonalds All-American. He committed to the University of Florida, where he played two standout seasons before declaring for the NBA Draft.

In Charlotte, Mann is expected to take on an expanded role as part of the team’s young core, which includes All-Star LaMelo Ball and forward Brandon Miller.

We are very proud of Tre and his continued success. He was recently at The Villages visiting his old school and helping out future stars of the game. The Villages certainly has potential NBA talent on the roster this upcoming season with Herly Brutus ranked as an ESPN Top 100 athlete.

Congratulations to Tre Mann!
