A Feast for the Senses

The 2025 Dining in the Dark fundraiser was hosted by New Vision for Independence at the Venetian Center in Leesburg in March. The event offered a unique sensory experience as guests dined in complete darkness. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team served the meal while wearing night vision goggles to add an element of intrigue and highlighting challenges faced by the visually impaired. Pisces Rising catered bacon-wrapped chicken roulade, beef tenderloin and a flourless chocolate torte. Proceeds supported New Vision’s mission to help individuals with vision loss live independently.
