Leesburg Old Time Diner Serves Up Retro Charm and Southern Comfort

Step inside The Old Time Diner in Leesburg, and it’s like spinning the clock back 70 years.
With its black-and-white checkered tile floors, vinyl records suspended from the ceiling, and life-sized portraits of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean gazing from the walls, the locally loved eatery leans hard into its 1950s theme and the regulars aren’t complaining.

(One of the things I really loved was the theming. The neon, pictures of Marilyn Monroe and other vintage items can be seen. There is no shortage of things to look at in this restaurant.)
It’s like eating in a jukebox. You can’t help but feel good when you walk through the door and it’s that kind of charm that keeps people coming back to enjoy the ambiance that Old Time Diner provides.
The atmosphere is only part of the draw. The menu, sprawling and unapologetically indulgent and delivers hearty Southern staples and coastal comfort food at wallet-friendly prices.
Favorites among the lunch and dinner crowd include blackened catfish, seafood boils brimming with seasoned shellfish, and jumbo shrimp wraps that spill over the plate. For landlubbers, there are cheesesteaks, classic burgers, and an all-you-can-eat fried fish.

(Being a diner, you can expect burgers and fries to be on the menu. Look at the size of this one!)
Early risers find even more to love. During breakfast time you can always find something good. From golden pancakes stacked high, biscuits drenched in creamy gravy, and omelets packed with meats, veggies and cheese.
This time-capsule diner is a real throwback to when people enjoyed talking to one another over a cup of coffee or just enjoying the company of those around them. In a world of fast-casual chains and digital menus, The Old Time Diner offers something different. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area.
They are located at 1350 West North Boulevard in. They are open 7 days a week from 7am – 9pm.

(I love the bar and the checker board tiles. Really makes you feel like you are back in time.)
