Terri McDonald, a therapist in LifeStream Behavioral Center’s CCOS program, has been named Youth Clinician of the Year at the Florida Behavioral Health Association’s Awards of Excellence. This marks the second consecutive year that a LifeStream clinician has received this prestigious honor. Last year, Teairra Debs, of LifeStream’s Juvenile Alternatives for Safer Communities program, earned the same distinction.

Terri McDonald has dedicated more than 20 years to supporting the youth of Lake County, building a reputation as a trusted advocate, mentor and leader. Terri is widely recognized for her ability to connect with clients, her dedication to providing high-quality care, and her commitment to guiding the next generation of behavioral health professionals. Through her mentorship, she has helped countless young clinicians develop their skills, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence within LifeStream.

“Terri’s recognition reflects her unwavering commitment to the youth she serves and to the broader field of behavioral health,” says Rick Hankey, Chief Executive Officer of LifeStream Behavioral Center. “Having two consecutive award recipients from LifeStream highlights the extraordinary talent, passion, and dedication that exist across our team. We are proud to cel-ebrate Terri and all the meaningful work happening within our organization every day.”

This consecutive recognition highlights LifeStream’s ongoing mission to be a center of excel-lence in behavioral health and an employer of choice, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to both high-quality care and professional development for its staff. The awards underscore the impact LifeStream clinicians have on the community, improving the lives of youth and families across Central Florida.

“Seeing our clinicians recognized on a statewide level is a proud moment for all of us,” says Rick Hankey, “It’s a testament to the remarkable people who make LifeStream a place where excellence and compassion go hand in hand.”
