The Mount Dora Christian Academy volleyball team is riding high on a four-match win streak after a hard-fought five-set victory over Orlando Christian Prep, improving its season record to 7-2.

The Lady Bulldogs edged out Orlando Christian in the decisive final set, 15-12, to seal one of their biggest wins of the year. Senior standout Victoria Roth has been the driving force behind MDCA’s strong start, leading the team with 79 kill shots.

She’s had help from the service line, where Avery Russell has delivered a team-best 23 aces, followed closely by Ava Bigelow with 21. At the net, Cassi Monn has been a defensive anchor, tallying 18 blocks and freshman Eva Aleandre has also contributed with 10 blocks.

The recent win not only extended the Bulldogs’ streak to four but also showcased the team’s ability to close out tight matches. This group is really coming together well midway through the season. MDCA will play Altamonte Christian tonight before playing Leesburg High, LCP from Tavares and Trinity Christian next week.
