County Line Smokehouse & Spirits Brings Food, Music and History Together in Weirsdale

What started as an idea among friends in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma has grown into a community gathering spot known for its food, music and history.

County Line Smokehouse & Spirits opened its doors on Dec. 29, 2017, transforming a longtime Weirsdale establishment into a restaurant and bar with a focus on slow-cooked meats, live entertainment and Southern hospitality.

(From the slow cooked meats to tacos, adult beverages and entertainment, County Line has developed a loyal following.)

The business grew out of the former County Line Bar & Package, a fixture in the community for more than 50 years. The property offered much of what its new owners were seeking, a spacious bar, a loyal following, a stage with strong acoustics and an outdoor porch area with room to grow. What it lacked was food.

That piece of the puzzle came into place when the owners discovered an unused brick smokehouse tucked behind a shed on the property. Inspired, they decided to center their new venture around slow-smoked barbecue, with ribs becoming a signature item. The menu now features a variety of smoked meats, along with wings, tacos and catering offered both on and off-site.

(County Line Smokehouse & Spirits  in Weirsdale is a great place to meet new friends and enjoy an adult beverage. They offer great entertainment as well.)

In addition to food, County Line Smokehouse & Spirits offers a full bar, live bands, pool tables, outdoor seating and a relaxed atmosphere that draws patrons from across the area.

“We’re so glad you decided to join us at the County Line,” the owners say online. “Please enjoy a meal with great people and be sure to spread the word to family and friends. With an eye on the future while still remembering the past, we hope to see you for many years to come.”

(The tacos offered at County Line are made fresh with slow cooked meats.)

County Line Smokehouse & Spirits is located at 17474 County Road 25 in Weirsdale. They are open seven days a week from 7am-12am.
