East Ridge High Senior Breylan Fairley Continues Big Season, Celebrates 1,000 Career Assists

A four-year varsity starter at setter for East Ridge High School. Breylan Fairley has become one of the most accomplished players in the program’s history. With more than 1,000 assists recorded as of Sept. 15, the senior captain continues to show why she’s among the areas top recruits.

She’s also having a great year serving with 42 aces which leads the team at 16.2%. She leads the team with 338 assists as of this writing.

Breylan is an on-court leader. She’s the kind of player every coach dreams of as well, consistent, calm under pressure, and a true student of the game. Breylan has been helping run the offense for four years with the maturity of a college athlete. Each time she steps onto the court she’s an instant game changer.

Breylan first picked up a volleyball at age 7 through the YMCA. She honed her craft with Top Select Volleyball Academy, one of Florida’s premier clubs. Her development there, along with experience playing for Team Florida High Performance, helped her rise through the state’s competitive volleyball ranks. She often faced and kept pace with some of the NCAA’s top talent, including standouts like Nayelis Cabello who is a sophomore with Louisville and played in the NCAA Volleyball National Championship Game last year.

(Not only is Breylan a great setter but the teams best server as well.)

But Breylan’s excellence isn’t limited to the hardwood. In the classroom, she holds a 4.6 weighted GPA and a 3.5 unweighted GPA, managing a rigorous course load while balancing the demands of year-round volleyball.

That work ethic has paid off. Breylan has committed to play NCAA Division I volleyball at North Carolina Central University in 2026. She plans to major in biomedical science and engineering.
