Emmi, who has maintained a 4.4 GPA, is known not only for her academic excellence but also for her remarkable athletic achievements on the softball field. Her commitment to Notre Dame marks the culmination of years of dedication to both her sport and her education and we are so proud of her.

“I’m so excited to officially announce my commitment to the University of Notre Dame,” Emmi says in her announcement. “First off, I want to thank my family for putting in so much time and money, and for allowing me to follow my dream. Dad, Mom, and Ethan—thank you so much for supporting me and holding me accountable. You’ve shaped me into the player and person I am today, and I’m so grateful to have you on my side.”

(This is a huge opportunity for Emmi and we are so proud of her.”

Emmi also expressed gratitude for her coaches and teammates, particularly those in the Intensity organization, including Coaches Britt, Phil, and Kev.

“You’ve believed in me from the start and have always pushed for my success,” she wrote. “You gave me every opportunity to succeed even when I may not have deserved it.”

A key part of Emmi’s journey has been her relationship with her hitting coach, Coach John.

“The past two years with you, I’ve grown into a hitter I never imagined I could be,” Emmi says. “You’ve challenged me mentally and physically, and I look forward to every Wednesday with you.”

Emmi also thanked several other coaches and mentors, including Coach Kris, Coach Boo, Coach Pooch, Coach Jamie, and Coach Huff. She credited them with playing an instrumental role in helping her achieve her dreams.

In closing, Emmi expressed her excitement to be part of the Notre Dame softball team, a program known for its tradition of excellence both on the field and in the classroom. “I am beyond excited to be part of the Irish family.”

Congratulations to Emmi Bowman and we look forward to watching her senior year at MDCA in the spring of 2026 before she takes the field with Notre Dame in 2027!
