Plate Above Catering Launches Holiday Menu to Help Feed Local Families

As the holiday season approaches, one Central Florida catering company is making it easier than ever for families in Lake County and surrounding areas to celebrate, while also helping neighbors in need.
Plate Above Catering, a social enterprise of Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, has launched its annual holiday menu, featuring chef-prepared meals that do more than bring people to the table, they help fund hunger relief programs serving thousands of families across the region.

Each family meal-to-go serves eight people and comes complete with a main protein, traditional sides and heating instructions for easy preparation at home. Menu options range from sage butter whole turkey with pan gravy to prime rib with au jus and horseradish sauce, alongside favorites like garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.
Orders for Thanksgiving must be placed by November 20 and picked up on November 26 at 411 Mercy Drive in Orlando.

For those hosting larger gatherings, Plate Above also offers buffet service for groups of 25 or more, as well as holiday trays filled with charcuterie, seasonal fruit, mini sandwiches and antipasti.
What makes these meals special is that every order directly supports Second Harvest Food Bank’s programs, which serve families across Lake, Sumter, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, and Volusia counties.

“This holiday season, we want to help our customers create joyful moments while also making a difference in the lives of others,” says Chef Jill Holland, General Manager at Plate Above Catering. “Every Plate Above order helps Second Harvest continue its mission of fighting hunger while feeding hope across Central Florida.”
Residents can also purchase meals as gifts for local families. If you know a family who could use a hand this holiday season, Plate Above can help coordinate pickup or work with partner organizations to ensure the meals go where they’re needed most.
