Secret to academic success: Time management and having an agenda is key to success when having so many responsibilities. As a student/athlete, having an agenda helps me visualize my week and allows me to track my workouts and practices as well as my deadlines and due dates.
Fun Fact: I love to work out and go for walks. My happy place is the ocean and in the past year I’ve found so much love in reading my Bible throughout the day.
My greatest accomplishment: I was given the opportunity to play for the founding 15U Puerto Rico National Softball team in 2023. In April 2023, I competed in Lima, Peru in the WBSC Americas World Qualifier and earned the bronze medal. Later in October, I competed in Tokyo, Japan in the WBSC World Championship and earned the silver medal.
I want everyone to know: About a year ago, I was lost and in a bad head space. I decided to change my life by giving my heart to God and allowing Him to take full control of my life. I will always thank Him for all the blessings and hardships that have shaped me into the woman I am today.
A saying I live by: Everything happens for a reason. When you get what you want, that’s God’s direction. When you don’t get what you want, that’s God’s protection.
Topping my music playlist: You da One by Rihanna.
In the future: I want to major in Sports Medicine and minor in Marine Biology, or if possible, double major. My goal is to go D1 for softball on a scholarship that allows me to continue to pursue my academic studies as well.
I admire: My mom as a role model in my life. She is a strong leader and has worked so hard to get to where she is now. She has never failed to provide for my family and is always trying her best to give us everything we need or want.
My ideal superpower: It would be the ability to breathe underwater so that I can explore the oceans and go shelling on the coast.
My message to the world: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
