NBC’s TODAY Show Coming to Mount Dora for Holiday Segment

Mount Dora is about to shine on a national stage as NBC’s TODAY Show visits the city this Friday to film a segment for its annual Merriest Main Street series.
Each year, the series highlights festive holiday destinations across the country, and Mount Dora has been chosen to help kick off this year’s features. The crew will be in town to capture a special sneak peek of the Mount Dora Lighted Boat Parade, one of the community’s most beloved holiday traditions.
The City of Mount Dora is inviting residents and visitors to be part of the live crowd during the filming. Anyone wishing to participate must arrive at Lakeside Inn, located at 100 Alexander Street, no later than 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
There will be no onsite parking available at Lakeside Inn, so attendees are encouraged to use street parking or the public lot at 4th Avenue and Alexander Street at 400 N. Alexander Street.
Mount Dora is ready to celebrate, and the community is invited to help show the nation why this city is one of the merriest holiday destinations in America.
