We’ve published a Best of the Best issue for decades, yet I’m still excited to see the results of our poll each year. Recognizing your favorites never gets old.

The Best of the Best list is extra special because the winners of our annual poll aren’t chosen by judges or selected in a boardroom; they’re picked by you, our readers.

Thousands of votes poured in this year as you showed your support for the businesses, professionals, restaurants and organizations that make Lake and Sumter counties incredible places to live, work and play.

Every vote tells a story of respect and admiration whether your favorite was the top-vote getter, runner-up or future winner. Every vote says, ‘You earned my trust!’ That’s something worth celebrating.

To our winners, congratulations! Whether this is your first Best of the Best award or you’ve won before, I hope you savor this accomplishment for years to come. Take a bow! You’ve earned it!

Building a great business isn’t easy. 

Rising to the top of your profession doesn’t happen overnight. Both require long hours, dedication and a genuine commitment to serving others.

One thing I absolutely love about this competition is seeing our community come together to support local businesses. That’s what makes these awards so meaningful. When we support local, we’re investing in our neighbors, our families, future generations and the place we gladly call home.
