As CEO of American Safety Utility Corporation, Andy Price helps provide the equipment needed to build, maintain and repair the power lines communities depend on. For Price, 57, the work carries particular meaning when severe weather strikes and utility crews are called upon to restore electricity.

“The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that our products play a role in restoring electricity after hurricanes and severe storms,” Price says. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to support the crews who work tirelessly to get the power back on, helping families, businesses, hospitals, and entire communities recover when they need it most.”

Price expanded the company’s presence by establishing a second location in Lake County, creating local jobs while supplying essential equipment to utility companies.

He is also the founder of the International Lineman Museum and Hall of Fame, which he relocated from North Carolina to Lake County. Founding the museum ranks among his proudest professional accomplishments.

“I created it to preserve the history of the electric utility industry and to honor the linemen whose hard work, innovation, and dedication built the power grid we rely on today,” Price says.

The museum preserves the stories and contributions of the men and women who helped shape the electric utility industry while providing the community with a distinctive educational resource.

“Electricity transformed the world, changing the way we live, work, communicate, and grow as a society,” Price says. “Being able to honor their legacy and educate others about the industry’s history is one of the most meaningful achievements of my career.”

Price’s community involvement extends across several local organizations. He serves on the City of Leesburg Electric Advisory Board and participates in Lake100, the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lake County Republican Executive Committee and the Rotary Club of Leesburg. He is also a member of Leadership Lake’s Class of 2027.

Price credits his father with introducing him to the electric utility industry and teaching him the importance of hard work. His faith also continues to shape how he approaches leadership.

“My relationship with Jesus Christ has guided my leadership, inspiring me to lead with integrity, humility and a servant’s heart,” he says.

Price encourages future professionals and community leaders to remain committed to learning, service and strong relationships.

“Success is measured not only by what you achieve, but by how you help others and the legacy you leave behind.”
