For Rosanne Brandeburg, bringing people and organizations together is more than a career; it is an opportunity to improve the place she calls home.

“We are fortunate to live in an area that provides me with so many opportunities to help develop our community,” Rosanne says. “Collaborating with people stirs my passion for bridging the needs to enhance our quality of life.”

The 64-year-old business development director for Insight Credit Union began her career in health care, public relations and marketing. She later served as executive director of the Lake-Sumter State College Foundation and completed eight years as an elected member of the Lake County School Board.

For the past nine years, Rosanne has continued working with local residents, businesses and organizations through her role at Insight Credit Union.

Her work with the Lake-Sumter State College Foundation remains among her most meaningful professional accomplishments.

“I am most proud of being able to raise money to support students wanting to achieve their college degree and the impact this has made,” she says. “It has been said we can have many things taken from us, but no one can ever take away our education.”

Rosanne’s community involvement has extended to service on local and state boards, volunteer work and partnerships with companies committed to investing in the area. Her efforts have focused on education, financial literacy and security, business development and health care.

She names her son, Tyler, as the greatest influence on her success and commitment to helping others. Being his mother has strengthened her desire to serve and make a difference in the lives of people throughout the community.

Her advice to emerging professionals and community leaders is straightforward: “Having a Work/Life Balance.

“Find your passion, give it your all and pass it forward,” she says.
