Mother’s Day is the busiest time of the year at Miss Daisy’s Flowers & Gifts, and designer Joan Cook and director of sales Carol Cina were part of a large crew working together creating beautiful floral arrangements. 

“Leesburg is mostly a 55-and-over community, and everybody’s mother lives here,” Carol says with a chuckle. 

On a typical day, the designers create over 35 floral pieces. For Mother’s Day this year, the shop produced more than 1500 floral arrangements for the week. 

However, the women say they survived because they work with great people, including owners Bob Tucker, Bill Bobulinski and Jel and Keith Parker.

“We have the best bosses you could ask for,” Joan says. 

“We love our jobs, we love our bosses and we love Miss Daisy’s,” Carol adds.
