Moving Time for The Villages High School!
Moving trucks were spotted at The Villages High School! The entire campus is set to move to a brand new facility opening in August of 2023. The Original High School is winding down its operations and the entire school is getting set to move into the new facility in the next few weeks.
Lines of moving trucks were seen lined up outside the front of The Villages High School. Soon to become The Villages North Junior High School, this facility will now host the Junior High students as they begin to prepare for High School. The fields will remain and everything should remain much of the same but desks and other equipment from the original Junior High School will need to be moved into the new location.
Richard Pettus the Athletic Director for The Villages Charter School said that “Most of the school athletic equipment is all packed away and we can’t wait to move into the new High School.” The school will need to move all of it’s athletic equipment down to Middleton which is a brand new town that has sprouted up around the New Charter High School. The project is absolutely massive and it’s almost like watching a real life game of monopoly taking place in front of your very eyes.
The new Charter School will be located at 2210 Dr. Randy McDaniel Way in Middleton, Florida with the zip code listed at 34762. The school will have the latest technology and athletic playing fields. A professional theatre, massive gym and competitive swimming pool will be just some of the things students will look forward to during the 2023 school year.
As the move happens, we want to make sure everyone knows the exact location of the new high school which is nothing more than a grass field on Google Maps. We will have to wait a bit until the maps are updated to the latest satellite imagery.
We wish The Villages the best of luck with the movement of their school’s!
