East Ridge High’s Cayla Jackson Signs To University of Georgia!
In a thrilling showcase of talent and achievement, Cayla Jackson, a senior standout at East Ridge High School, made history as she became East Ridge High School’s leading scorer for girls soccer. She now stands alone as one of the all-time greatest soccer athletes to come through the program and the season is just getting started!
The record breaking evening took place during East Ridge’s commanding 8-0 victory over St. Cloud, where Jackson was able to score a hatrick by scoring three goals, bringing her career total to an impressive 139 goals. This feat not only secured a win for the team but also broke a remarkable record previously held by her sister, Cydnie Jackson.

Last season, as a junior, Jackson’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. She led her team with an astonishing 41 goals, topped the charts with 22 assists, and accumulated a whopping 104 points. Her consistency and skill on the field had set her apart as the top player on the team.

Jackson is set to take her talent to the next level as she signs with the University of Georgia, solidifying her commitment to the sport and her future. The signing ceremony, occurring on National Signing Day, marks a significant milestone in Jackson’s athletic journey. We are so happy for her family and East Ridge High for their continued success on the soccer pitch.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
