The New Villages High Class of 2024 Names Engraved Into Heritage Walk
A new yearly bit of history will be unveiled year after year at The Villages New High School. The Heritage walk is one of the key pieces at the new Charter School. The Heritage Walk will include every graduating senior to ever walk through the doors of The Villages Charter School.
One day the length of the brick walkway will stretch all the way down past the football stadium. But for now, the first ever class is having their names literally engraved into history to stand for all time.
Construction work has been ongoing to put the first graduating classes names into the ground that will stand as a monument of achievement they have worked so hard for.
The Heritage Walk is a really cool concept. Once it is finished the graduating class will walk towards the football stadium eventually ending up on the field for their graduation ceremony in front of family and friends.
We got a chance to talk to a construction worker who wanted to remain anonymous but he says “It is just a proud feeling to work on this project. It is cool knowing how many people will be so happy to see their names. I hope families enjoy it for generations to come.”
We look forward to seeing the inaugural class of names finished in the coming weeks.
