Johnna Kemper, 24

Occupation: Dog sitter/groomer at Johnna’s Pampering Paws LLC, Eustis

What I do: I provide love, companionship and loads of play time for pets while their owners are away. 

How I got here: Since I was a little kid, I had pet snakes, cats, dogs, pigs and even rats! In 2017 I started out one day a week grooming/dog sitting service on the side while working at a local animal hospital. Now I am so blessed to be able to work full time taking care of all the babies!

Notable achievement: Being named the best pet sitter in 2023 in the “Best of the 352” contest.

Words of wisdom: There will be long days and long nights, but you should work hard for what you want and it will pay off.

Outside the shop: I love spending time with my husband, Payne, and my dog, River. We also enjoy boating on the weekends with family and friends.

Life after 40: I would love to expand my business and open a boarding and grooming facility in downtown Eustis.
