40 Under 40: Halie Adrid, 25
Halie Adrid, 25
Occupation: Lawyer, Associate, Eustis
What I do: I practice civil litigation, which is any time someone sues someone else. I also draft court documents and attend court hearings, but one of the most important parts of the job is ensuring all the client’s needs are met, not just legal ones.
My journey: I feel like I’ve been a student forever, but finally finished up school in May of 2023 and passed the bar exam two months later. I’ve been an official, practicing attorney since October 2023, but have worked at law firms all throughout law school.
Why the law is my passion: I love a good fight, and law is exactly the place for me. I love crafting a well-researched, thoughtful argument and I am very eager to participate in my first full-fledged trial.
Notable achievement: Passing the bar exam.
Words of wisdom: Get involved in things you may ordinarily shy away from. You’ll meet new people and gain experience with unfamiliar things, which will make you a well-rounded person.
Outside the law offices: I love hanging out with friends and family, especially going out to eat!
Life after 40: I’d love to stay and continue to practice law in Lake County! So far, I love the work I do, and I love the people I work with. I’d also love to build a house with my family close by.
