Eustis High Alum Takes Art to New Levels at Relentless Tattoo Studio

Relentless Tattoo Studio, located at 384 W Burleigh Blvd in Tavares, recently held their grand opening and aims to be a hub of creativity and expression in Lake County.

Cristian Altamirano, the owner and talented tattoo artist behind the studio, realized his passion for tattooing began during his senior year of high school. In school, Cristian was always doodling on his papers.

“Thankfully, no one ever told me to quit doing that,” Cristian says. “I loved to draw and that led into my passion for tattoos.”

After graduating from Eustis, he balanced his role as a barber while pursuing his love for tattoos, juggling both professions for a time.

In 2015, he decided to fully commit himself in the world of tattooing, and since then, he hasn’t looked back. Cristian was born in Mexico, but has resided in Lake County for most of his life, graduating from Eustis High School.

Now, at the age of 31, Cristian has established his own creative haven with his first tattoo studio. While he initially considered purchasing an existing studio, he ultimately decided to open his own, following his artistic vision and passion.

Cristian says while he does the simple, one-session tattoos, his heart lies in realism. He thrives on challenges, including intricate cover-up tattoos, murals, full-color pieces and striking portraits. His portfolio showcases an array of large-scale projects that often span multiple sessions.

“I was given opportunities to learn under others and I hope to do the same with my own studio,” Cristian says.

Cristian’s talent has not gone unnoticed, as he has earned eight awards for his exceptional tattoo work. For more information, visit the Relentless Tattoo Studio Facebook page.
