AVARES, Fla. — The American Athletic Club’s U17 National volleyball team is headed to the big stage.

The club, based in Tavares, announced that its U17 National squad has officially earned a coveted bid to compete in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship in Dallas, Texas. This is now the second national squad under the American Athletic Club in Tavares to qualify for nationals after the U18 program did it and won the national championship last month.

Led by Coach Alisha Wintersdorf and Coach Alise, the team has demonstrated a relentless work-ethic and have absolutely earned this opportunity. From intense practices to high-pressure matches, the players have come together to form not only a cohesive unit but a championship-caliber team.

“This group has poured their hearts into every single moment this season,” the club said in a statement. “Through all the ups and downs, they’ve only grown stronger — and now, all that hard work is paying off.”

The USAV Girls Junior National Championship is one of the premier youth volleyball events in the country, drawing top-tier talent from across the nation. Earning a bid is no small feat and represents months — and in many cases, years — of training, sacrifice, and commitment.

“Congratulations to these amazing young women and their coaches,” the club added. “Dallas, here we come!”
