Animal Rescue Seeks Community Support For Joey’s Emergency Surgery
The local animal rescue, A Forever Home Animal Rescue, is urgently calling on the community for support following life-saving surgery for Joey, a recently surrendered dog who arrived in critical condition. Due to extensive medical needs, including emergency intervention to save his bladder and kidneys, the rescue is now facing significant veterinary expenses.
When Joey was surrendered, he was in severe pain and at risk of losing one of his kidneys. Thanks to the swift action of the rescue team and veterinarians, his condition has stabilized, but the costs of his care have put a financial strain on the organization.
“No donation is too small, and every bit helps us cover these unexpected costs,” Rae Glover says. “Poor Joey was surrendered in horrible shape and we had to act fast to get him out of pain and save his bladder and kidneys.”
