LEESBURG, Florida — Beacon College continues to take significant steps forward in the evolution of the school’s athletics program as it prepares for the 2024 cross country season. The team recently announced its 2024 schedule.

“As we continue growing the cross country program, we wanted to put together a schedule that builds on our students’ running achievements, giving us opportunities to improve individually and as a team,” said Tony Wrice, Beacon’s head cross country coach.

The Blazers will kick off the season at the Fire Invitational Cross Country meet in Lakeland, FL, on Sept. 7, the first of six regular season meets.

  • Fire Invitational Cross Country meet in Lakeland, FL, on Sept. 7
  • DUVAL 5K XC Challenge in Jacksonville, FL, on Sept. 13
  • Embry-Riddle XC Classic in Daytona Beach, FL, on Sept. 21
  • Florida Gateway College Open in Lake City, FL, on Sept. 27
  • FSU Invitational in Tallahassee, FL, on Oct. 11

Although the College recently joined the New South Athletic Conference providing more competitive playing opportunities in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, the school will not yet be competing in conference cross country meets.
