Embellished Salon

When Brook McKelvey opened Embellished Salon in 2016, she envisioned a space that offered more than just beauty services. “We wanted to be your one-stop shop for beauty and self-care,” Brook shares.

Fast forward almost ten years and Embellished has become everything Brook dreamed—and more. Located in a charming building that once housed a 1950s grocery store, the 6,000-square-foot salon features 20 hairstyling chairs, three nail technicians, a massage therapist, 14 suites offering everything from hair and skincare to Botox and fillers and a boutique for shoppers interested in hair products, gift items, specialty clothing, jewelry and more.

What truly sets Embellished Salon apart is its emphasis on creating a positive, family-like atmosphere for both clients and the nearly 40 professionals who make up the team. “My goal has always been to create a place where everyone feels relaxed, valued, works together and supports one another,” Brook explains. 

In the next few months, Embellished will open a second location in Lady Lake, with a third location in Sumter County planned for later this year. 

That success, Brook is quick to add, wouldn’t be possible without the remarkable people that surround her. 

“We’ve been asked many times how we’re growing so quickly, and the truth is—I couldn’t do this without my incredible support system and the Embellished crew,” she says. 

With Kayla Crouse stepping into a management role, daily operations have become even smoother. The salon’s in-house stylists are thriving, thanks in part to continued education and creative support from the marketing crew—Ashley Onorato, Taylor Rogers, and Bailey Zlotek. Office manager Melissa Batterbee has also become an indispensable part of the journey. 

“We’re truly blessed with a team of creative, ambitious women, and I’m excited to welcome more into our growing circle,” Brook adds. “Let’s see just how far we can go.
