Businesswomen of Style 2025 – The Rustic Rose

Rosalyn Housley, Kara Clark and Nicole Scarpelli
The Rustic Rose
After years in home décor and fashion, Rosalyn Housley will retire in November later this year, and leave the celebrated Rustic Rose in good hands.
“This is our big year of transition,” she says. “And Kara (Clark) and Nicole (Scarpelli), who have been with me for 8 and 11 years, respectively, will carry on the legacy.”
Rosalyn tears up with pride, describing the relationship. “They have been like daughters to me and it’s very rare to have that kind of bond in business.”
Rather than sell the two boutiques to strangers, Rosalyn made a sound financial offer to pass the torch. “They have trained under me and I genuinely think God put us together,” she says. When the moment became official, they all hugged and cried.
“A chord of three is not easily broken,” Kara says.
Nicole now runs The Rustic Rose Fashion Boutique, and Kara curates the original home décor store. Together, they’re keeping the charm, style and joy alive.
“The Rustic Rose will always remain a place where people feel at home,” Rosalyn beams.
