Creative Corner Market: A Hub for Small Businesses and Handcrafted Treasures
The recently open Creative Corner Market in Leesburg is providing a platform for local artisans and small business owners to showcase their crafts and homemade creations. Owners Stacy Urban and Linda Sears had a passion to provide a creative outlet, being small business owners themselves.
“It’s been something I’ve been passionate about for years,” Stacy says. “Once the space became available, we decided to partner up and make it happen.”
Stacy is the creative mind behind Urban Designs, specializing in exquisite homemade jewelry. Linda brings her talent to life through apoxy tumblers that are as functional as they are beautiful. Together, they created a space for artists and entrepreneurs to thrive.
Currently, the market hosts nearly 40 vendors, with 90% of them hailing from the local community.
Small businesses interested in joining the Creative Corner Market family commit to a six-month partnership. Some of the most sought-after items at the market include wax melts, candles, spice mixes, handcrafted soaps, Captain Crazy’s Nuts and Meem’s Fudge.
Creative Corner Market opens its doors every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There’s still time to grab some last minute holiday gifts!
“Supporting small businesses helps our local economy,” Stacy says. “Most are owned by people who depend on it, or who use the money to provide for their kids’ dance classes or sports. Some have been able to quit their full time job and pursue their true passion. Some are still hoping todo that. It’s not just a hobby for most of us.”
In addition to providing a space for shopping, Creative Corner Market offers classes and workshops for both the public and retailers. Look for their grand opening in January for even more vendors and local craftiness.
Creative Corner Market is located at 32641 Radio Rd. in Leesburg. For more information about upcoming events and vendors, visit their Facebook page at Creative Corner Market.
