The East Ridge High School girls lacrosse team will compete for a fourth consecutive District Championship in a row. The girls lacrosse team played a hard game against Lake Minneola last evening and came out on top with a 12-6 victory.

It was a terrific evening made even more special by the history that was witnessed by those in attendance last evening. Freshman goalie for the East Ridge Knights Grace Meyer, would go on to beat the school record for most saves in a single season!

(Meyer #27 has the opportunity to become the first goalie in team history to have over 100 saves in a season on Thursday evening. She currently holds the school record in saves as a lacrosse goalie with 94 so far.)

The previous record was 92 saves in a single season. Meyer has 94 saves as of last evening and she has the ability to become the first East Ridge lacrosse goalie in team history to get to triple digits and make over 100 saves in the District Championship game which will be Thursday evening at 6:30pm. The game will be at East Ridge High School.

The Knights will face off with West Orange who were able to easily win against Windermere last night 11-3. The District Championship should be a good one! Head coach Sarah Klosterman says “These girls have their goal set on winning.” now the team is focused on making even more history on Thursday evening.

We could see the first 100 save season in East Ridge history for girls Lacrosse and we may even see a fourth district championship raised on Thursday evening. East Ridge High School is the last Lake County girls lacrosse team standing! Best of luck to the Lady Knights!
