East Ridge High Football Hires Frank Scott As Offensive Coordinator

CLERMONT, Fla. — East Ridge High School football has taken a significant step forward by hiring Frank Scott as its new offensive coordinator. Scott, who most recently led Leesburg High School to a 6-5 record and an FHSAA Playoff berth, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the Knights’ program.

Scott’s resume includes back-to-back district championships as the head coach of Eustis High School in 2022 and 2023. Known for his strategic offensive mind and ability to develop talent, Scott now reunites with East Ridge head coach Donnie Burchfield, with whom he shares a history of collaboration.

“Our values are the same, and we’ve coached together before,” Burchfield said. “Coach Scott was my offensive coordinator when I was at Mount Dora, and I had the privilege of working as an assistant under him at Eustis. The chemistry is there, and we’re ready to build something special at East Ridge.”

Joining Scott on East Ridge’s revamped coaching staff are Tony Rozier, formerly the wide receivers coach at Leesburg, and offensive line coach “Coach Sauce,” further solidifying what Burchfield described as a “family-oriented team.”

“We are very excited!” Burchfield said. “I can’t say enough good things about the group we’re putting together. This is a team built on trust, hard work, and shared vision.”

The hire is seen as a pivotal move for East Ridge, which aims to elevate its program under Burchfield’s leadership. East Ridge High is coming off a 3-7 season. With Scott’s offensive acumen, Rozier’s expertise in developing wide receivers, and Sauce’s emphasis on building a dominant offensive line, the Knights are positioning themselves as a team to watch in 2025.
