East Ridge High Sophomore Grace Mayer Breaks All-Time Lacrosse Saves Record

East Ridge, FL — East Ridge High School lacrosse goalie Grace Meyer has made history, surpassing the East Ridge Women’s Lacrosse All-Time Saves record as a sophomore. Meyer reached the milestone of 190 saves, breaking the previous record of 188 set by Jordyn Davidson over three seasons.
The record-breaking save came during a tense match, where Meyer’s poise and sharp reflexes played a pivotal role in her team’s victory. With 10 games still remaining in the season, Meyer is poised to extend her new record further.

(Last year Grace Mayer broke the school’s all-time saves record for a single season with 125 saves.)
“It feels amazing to break the record, but I know it’s a team effort,” Meyer said. “I wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of my defense and my coaches. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to play with such a great group.”
Meyer’s steady performance under pressure has been a trademark of her career, and this season is no exception. With 62 saves already this year, she continues to rank among the top goalies in Florida. The next few years should be intersting as colleges and universities will certainly be taking note.

(East Ridge High Girls lacrosse is off to a 2-4 start this season.)
This accomplishment comes just a year after Meyer set the East Ridge single-season saves record as a freshman with 125 saves, a mark that still stands. Her early dominance on the field has made her one of the most exciting young players in the sport of girls lacrosse which continues to grow in our area. She continues to garner attention not just for her efforts but the sport as a whole and that’s a great thing.
With 10 games still to play, Meyer’s journey remains one to watch as she continues to push the limits and break barriers. We are very proud of her and what head coach Sarah Klosterman has built at East Ridge High School.
