Eustis Elementary School Renovations Coming Soon

Eustis Elementary School has become a focal point of community discussions due to its aging infrastructure and the pressing need for improvements. Recognizing the necessity for a significant upgrade, Lake County Schools has included the Eustis Elementary School improvement plan as a key part of its five-year plan. This initiative aims to ensure that students at Eustis Elementary are provided with every possible tool for success as they transition to middle school and high school.

The renovation project, slated to receive funding over the next few years, will bring much-needed enhancements to the school. Kelly Randall, Executive Director of Facilities & Planning at Lake County Schools, stated, “The district is currently exploring the options of rebuilding and adding capacity at Eustis Elementary School to serve additional students at that campus.” While further details are still under discussion, the inclusion of the project in the Five-Year Capital Plan signifies a strong commitment to improving the school.

The Eustis Elementary School renovation is part of a broader initiative to upgrade educational facilities across Lake County. Communities such as Fruitland Park, Minneola, and Leesburg are also part of the plan and will receive new and renovated schools over the next few years. Now, Eustis Elementary will join these communities in benefiting from the district’s focus on enhancing educational environments.

In addition to the elementary school improvements, there are plans to expand Eustis High School and move ninth graders from the Curtright campus to the main Eustis High School in the coming years. These developments underscore the comprehensive nature of Lake County Schools’ five-year plan, aimed at fostering better educational facilities for the community.

While design details and specific funding allocations are still being sorted out, this step forward is a positive one for Eustis. We eagerly anticipate the project and are looking forward to the transformative impact it will have on local education. Updates on the project’s progress will be shared as more information becomes available.
