Eustis High Junior Skyler Scott Commits to FAMU for Softball

Eustis High School junior Skyler Scott, a state champion and one of Central Florida’s top softball prospects, has committed to continue her career at Florida A&M University.
Skyler, was part of the Eustis High School softball team who won the 2024 FHSAA state championship and was also a member of the Eustis High state runner-up team in 2025.
As a sophomore last season, Scott proved to be a key piece in the Panthers’ lineup. In 28 games, she batted .380 with 30 hits, 19 runs scored and 6 RBIs. Known for her speed on the basepaths, she stole 18 bases, giving Eustis a constant threat.
Skyler is the kind of player who changes the game every time she’s on the field. Her speed, instincts and competitiveness make her special, and she’s only going to get better over the next few years.
Skyler’s decision also represents a reunion of sorts. She will follow former Eustis head coach Brittany Beall, who guided the Panthers to multiple state titles during her tenure before taking a position on the FAMU coaching staff in 2025.
For Skyler, the commitment is the culmination of years of work that she has put in but also the beginning of what promises to be two more standout seasons at Eustis and the potential for more college offers to come the next few years. Skyler has the talent and mind to be successful in whatever she chooses to do. She also has a 4.0 GPA and is the very definition of a student-athlete.

(Not just a leader on the field but off the field. Skyler Scott consoles Brook Mansfield after Eustis High would finish as state runner-up at the FHSAA State Championship this past year.)
After attending an amazing FAMU camp last weekend, I am beyond blessed and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to THE Florida A&M University,” says Skyler. “Thank you Coach Beall and Coach Jess for this amazing opportunity! I give all praises to God! Next, I want to give a HUGE thank you to my family for being my biggest and loudest supporters and for believing in me along this journey. And to all my coaches over the years, thank you for all of the time and dedication you’ve poured into me. You continued to push me and shape me into the athlete I am today. I’m excited for what’s ahead; this is just the beginning! The grind doesn’t stop…the hard work continues. I’m looking forward to being a Rattler!” says Skyler on X.

(Skyler Scott has a 4.0 GPA.)
She ended with this quote. “…With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 NIV
Congratulations to Skyler and the entire Scott family along with her friends, coaches teammates and all who have impacted her to get to this point.
