Eustis High School’s Noel Rodriguez Commits to Webber International University!
Noel Rodriguez was good this season. He wasn’t just good, he was fantastic. It was always in the back of everyone’s minds that this guy deserved to play at the next level. That next step will involve playing for Webber International located in Babson Park, Florida. The Warriors are members of the NAIA division. This is a great opportunity for Noel Rodriguez who had one of the best seasons we have seen a Eustis Quarterback have in well over a decade!
Rodriguez was absolutely dominant this season. Rodriguez passed for 1,302 yards while tacking on 14 passing touchdowns through the air. He averaged 145 passing yards per game while throwing for 89 completions on 174 attempts. All of his work paid off at the end of this year as Eustis won the District Championship in its division for the first time since 2005!
Rodriguez said in his acceptance note “First and foremost I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to continue my education and athletic career at the next level. I also want to thank my mother for how much she has sacrificed for me to be successful and how she pushed me everyday to be great. I want to also thank my teammates, my coaches, and the administrators for believing in me and for having such an amazing year at Eustis High School. Being able to bring home a district championship title to the school which hasn’t been done since 2005! I also want to thank the coaching staff at Webber for giving me this opportunity! With that being said, I am 110% committed to Webber International University #GoWarriors.”
Rodriguez should excel at a school like Webber. The Warriors are members of the NAIA. Rodriguez is a naturally gifted athlete who should help the program immensely. The way this season went was historic for Eustis. It had been nearly 2 decades since they won a District Championship. While they got beat in the first round of the playoffs to South Sumter late last year, the team deserved to be there. Rodriguez deserves this opportunity and we are thrilled for him and his family as he takes on this new endeavor in his life.
We look forward to seeing great things out of Noel Rodriguez in the very near future! Congratulations to the Rodriguez Family!
