Eustis Softball Player Ciera Maple Commits to Florida A&M
Congratulations to Eustis Softball player Ciera Maple who has committed to play for the Florida A&M University Rattlers for the 2025 baseball season. Maple has been an amazing part of the Eustis softball program. During her junior year she helped Eustis to a 19-6 record. She had an impressive .386 batting average. She led the team with 32 total hits 10 RBIs while leading the team in runs scored with 24.
Maple is one of the fastest players in Lake County. She is almost unstoppable when it comes to stolen bases. Out of 30 stolen bases she attempted last season she stole 27 of them. Maple has a keen eye for knowing just which pitch to run on. She makes sure to get into scoring position and that allowed her to score an impressive 24 times in 2023.
Maple was also the only one on the Eustis team to have more than two triple bases last season with three total. Only fellow Eustis softball player Katie Short had a triple other than Maple last year. Her speed is something that the Rattlers will utilize as she grows with that program.
The Eustis softball team looks really good headed into the 2024 season. We are excited for Ciera Maple and look forward to watching her final year at Eustis and wish her and her family the best of luck as she continues her academic and playing career at Florida A&M University!
