Matanzas (Palm Coast) @ South Lake High

This will be a big test for South Lake High especially for coach Brad Lord who has taken over as the head coach for South Lake. The Eagles have only won 2 games in the last two years so hopefully they can come out of the gate strong in 2023. The hope is that this group of kids can rally around one another and string together a few wins. They do not need to win 8 or 10 games this season but even winning 3 or 4 games would be a step in the right direction. Anything above a 4 win season would be extra special for this group in 2023. Matanzas is a tough team and will give South Lake all they can handle. Hopefully South Lake can have a good first half of football. If South Lake could win it would be nice upset win to start the season on the right note for this school.
