Leesburg High School will be coming into the 2023 with a ton of momentum. New Head Coach Steven Moffett has excited the players and fanbase. A year after a 2 win season, the Yellow Jackets are looking for a fresh start. They will get the chance to start this era off with a win against Moore Haven High on Friday Night. The defense and offense for Leesburg looked stout in a 47-0 beat down of Crystal River in the preseason game a week ago. Can this team carry that momentum the entire season? Things already look better including Quarterback Solomon Georges who should be one of the best in Lake County. Kanye Gaines will lead the defense. The linebacker has all the makings of a star.
