LEESBURG, FL — Both the boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams from First Academy-Leesburg are heading to regionals after an impressive performance at the district championships, with standout runners Noah Mauriell and Annabelle Saxton securing top-10 finishes in their divisions.

This marks a historic milestone for the boys’ team, as they advance to regionals for the first time in school history. Led by junior Noah Mauriell, who placed within the top 10, the team showed their depth and determination throughout the race, earning a spot at regionals in a highly competitive field.

On the girls’ side, the Eagles continue to thrive, making it to regionals for the fourth consecutive year. Annabelle Saxton, a senior, placed in the top 10 in her division, and has been great all year long for FA-Leesburg.

Both teams will compete at regionals next week, with high hopes of building on their season’s success and possibly advancing to the state championships. Good luck to each and every member! Way to go!
